4th of July Yoga in the Park, Upcoming Restorative Classes

Hi Yogins.
As we celebrate our independence, we can also celebrate that heavy rainfall is behind us and weather forecasts look incredible! Just in time for Yoga in the Park on the 4th of July. . .
I will be offering Yoga in the Park on Sunday, July 4th at 9:30am at Maryknoll Park under our yoga tent. As always, expect a level 1.5 flow. Yogins can modify up or down according to how the body feels on that given day. Practice freely, add postures and feel free to leave some out.

All classes in July have been secured for the Yoga Tent at Maryknoll Park in Glen Ellyn. If you have yet to visit our Yoga Tent, Maryknoll Park means easy access! Maryknoll is just off interstate 355 and Roosevelt Rd. It is also easily accessed of Highway 53 (on Pershing Rd). FYI: We learned last weekend the grass under this spacious tent stays dry even with heavy rainfall.
Heads up: In July, I will be offering two Restorative Yoga in the Park Classes on Sundays, July 11th and July 18th at 5pm. Many have asked for this relaxing format which draws from more passive yoga styles called yin and restorative yoga. Most poses are practiced seated or lying down and are held from 1 to 5 minutes to stretch and, over time, lengthen the deep connective tissue in the body.
Over time, Restorative & Yin practice improves mobility & flexibility. It is a class that is suitable for all skill levels. If people show up, I will offer more of these classes in August.
Blessings to you this weekend:
May your body move with ease.
May your heart be open and free.
May your mind be grounded and free from yesterdays and tomorrows.
May your mind remain in the joy of now.
Kristin
