Wheaton Sport Center - Sound Bath & Restorative Yoga - Ground with Sound

Join us at this restful, transformative passive practice of Restorative & Yin Yoga with a Guided Savasana and Sound Bath Meditation.

Restorative & Yin Yoga are practiced to prepare the body for stillness for the Sound Bath Meditation for a deeply immersive experience. First, passive postures and gentle stretches are held with little to no muscle engagement to open fascia, the connective tissues in the body. When the body is relaxed, the mind can become relaxed.

Students will be guided by Kristin in savasana so they can experience a nourishing and deep state of meditation for the sound bath featuring the ancient and sacred sounds of antique Tibetan bowls, airy chimes, Crystal bowls and Pyramids, flowing percussive rhythms, a traditional harmonium, and the vibrations of her planetary and wind gongs to balance all of the chakras and elements of the body.
