Yin Yoga is used to prepare the body for Yoga Nidra Meditation. Passive postures and gentle stretches are held with little to no muscle engagement to open fascia, the connective tissues in the body. When the body is relaxed, the mind can become relaxed.
Yoga Nidra meditation guides the practitioner into a hypnagogic state, the state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleeping. It is in this deeply relaxed state where the practitioner plants seeds of intention. Yoga Nidra meditation uses breathwork, relaxation techniques, rapid imagery, creative visualization, and sacred sound to help yogins explore their potential, their hopes and their dreams for positive transformation. Kristin's Yoga Nidra Meditation is enhanced with sound healing and ends with a sound bath  of antique Tibetan bowls, airy chimes, Crystal bowls and Pyramids, flowing percussive rhythm, traditional harmonium, and the deep tonal vibrations of a Gong to balance all of the chakras and elements of the body.
