Series of Sound Baths Exploring Sound & Silence Starts This Weekend

Hi All,
Chicago gifted us a stretch of “fake spring” this week: that soft, impossible warmth that makes you unzip your coat even though winter isn’t quite finished with us. We’re in that liminal breath between seasons, where everything feels a little more spacious and a little more possible.
It’s the perfect moment to settle into practice.
In this next series of sound baths, we’ll be exploring not just sound, but the role of silence, the way a single quiet minute can let the body integrate what vibration awakens. We’ll play with dynamics, contrast, and the subtle art of letting sound land. Expect moments of stillness woven into the experience, giving you space to feel, digest, and soften even more deeply.
Here’s what’s coming up:

ॐ Restorative Sound Journey at Yoga by Degrees (Western Springs), Sunday, February 22nd 6:00–8:00pm
This event is filling quickly. If you’ve been planning to come, now is the time to reserve your spot. We’ll begin with restorative shapes to unwind the body, then move into a long sound bath that includes intentional pockets of silence to help you absorb the work more fully. Sign up under Workshops/Courses on the YBD site.

ॐ Portal of Sacred Sound - Sound Bath at Studio 11 Yoga & Wellness (Wheaton) Saturday, February 28th 6:00–7:30pm
Studio 11 is spacious, warm, and acoustically stunning, and there’s still plenty of room to join. As I continue to build a meditation community here, this sound bath will explore the dance between vibration and quiet, giving you a chance to feel how silence deepens the experience. Register through this Studio 11 link.

ॐ Vision & Vibration: Restorative Yoga + Sound Bath at FFC Elmhurst, Sunday, March 8th 4:00–6:00pm
This one is about 2.5 weeks away, and early sign‑ups really help. We’ll move through breathwork, intention setting, restorative yoga, and a full sound bath featuring bowls, gongs, monochord, harmonium, chimes, and more — with intentional pauses to let the nervous system settle and receive.
Register in the FFC+ app under Group Fitness.
Non‑members: use your existing FFC account to sign up or create one if you have never attended classes at FFC. Non-members use this link
As we hover in this tender space between seasons, may you find warmth in the sunlight, steadiness in the quiet, and a moment each day to simply breathe.
Love to all,
Kristin
PS. Don't forget:
ॐ Mondays at Studio 11: Vinyasa + Restorative/Yoga Nidra Meditation
• Intermediate Vinyasa at 6:00pm
• Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra Meditation at 7:15pm
If you haven’t visited Studio 11 yet, their new student special is wonderful: 14 days of unlimited classes for $14. I’m grateful to be teaching here weekly and excited to keep nurturing a steady, welcoming meditation community.
